Straight from the lips of the Rutgers University Dance and Cheer teams, this week’s news or shall we say, cheer, gives us something to celebrate. After placing among 30 teams at the UCA/UDA National Championships in Orlando this weekend, these fab females returned to the Raritan River with pride. The Lady Knights brought ScaRlet Fever to the most magical place on earth with power-packed performances and Jersey fire. Under coach, Christine Zoffinger, The Rutgers Dance Team boasts a National Championship (1998) and has consistently placed among the top 5 teams in the country. This January, their choreography featured tight jazz technique and a hip hop bit that showcased their sexy swag. Captains, Becca Lee and Lindsay Ritter commented, “This team rocks! They stayed focused and dedicated so we could establish RU’s presence at UDA. After our performance, I cried because it felt SOOO good. I didn’t even care what place we got. The energy ran through us all.” Click here to see their ‘sexy swagger’ and type Rutgers in the search bar. Hey folks…it doesn’t matter if you win or lose, its how you play the game. |
