Small is the New Big

Lil BIGZ Tears It Up

The title of one of our favorite books (we read a lot) also perfectly describes 11-year-old Ysabelle “Lil BIGZ” Capitule. She’s already worked with Brian Friedman, Kevin Maher, and Tony Czar. You’d summarize that she was born to dance by the way she tears it up online. We spoke to her dad to give you the inside scoop. Read her story, then see her in action.

Lil BIGZ took her first class at age 5. She quit two weeks later. She gave it a second chance at age 6... in a class with kids ages 9 to 13. By age 7, she was groovin’ with kids ages 10 to 17. Although she was the smallest, she proved she could hang tough with the teens.

The “big” impact hit after she took an adult-level class with the director of the NBA's Golden State Warriors Junior Jam Squad. (Say that 5X fast.) Lil BIGZ was one of 21 kids who made the final cut.

When her family went to Hollywood, Lil BIGZ was put to the test. After two agencies passed on her, she didn’t give up. She finally signed with Bloc LA. “The competition in LA is fierce, but with will and determination, I know she’ll continue to succeed in the entertainment industry,” said her very proud dad. (Awe.)

The trend we’re sportin’ here is that this tiny dancer is up to big things because she put her mind to it and boy does she show off (in a good way) on her website. This girl knows how to get it done. Go ahead, watch her in action at www.lilbigz.com. She’s off the hook and she tears it up on every single page. She even gives tutorial lessons. We’ve seen many dancers come in and out of our doors, but this girl tops the charts with having an impressive online presence. We couldn’t leave her website; we kept watching.
