Are you a YouTube sensation? These days, who isn’t? But what makes this “computer video” watching so captivating? In this case, it’s a cultural movement. Today’s activism of young influentials is on the rise. To the next generation (us), our dreams are our causes. Luis Salgado, In the Heights, launched his dream (R.Evolucion Latina, an awareness campaign) with the help of viral videos. His 1st interview with Lin Manuel jump started his vision: 2 young stars (under age 30) simply having an honest conversation, in hopes of spreading inspiration. Now, in celebration of RL’s 20th video posting, Miranda’s new segment, shot right before his final performance with In the Heights, reveals everything from how he checks up on each and every cast member to a glimpse of his future ventures. More importantly, the humble Broadway star commemorates how R.Evolucion Latina has changed the lives of so many people in just 1 year. So here’s to Gen Y, to effective use of viral inspiration and to young leaders of tomorrow that dare to dream (or in Salgado’s words, Dare to go Beyond). |
