It’s Mother Nature’s Way of Saying... Brand Yourself!

 Eco-Friendly Branding for You

Happy Earth Day, earthlings. Get trended with this super-eco friendly story. You’re doing a terrific job separating bottles from cans and printing on both sides of paper, but when it comes to your branding, we thought we’d put a little kick in your planet saving/promotional routine.

After visiting the Go Green Expo last month with Valerie from Essence of Vali, we met the folks from Motivators. With the typical perusal around the trade show floor, picking up brochures, free massages, signing up for the NY Times (Weekend Arts, obvi*), what we remembered most (next to the electric bike) was this company and today, it’s appropriate to tell you why.

Don’t be nervous, but they have actual paper you can buy made from elephant poop. (unscented, of course.) The Elephant Poo Poo Jotter’s can include your logo; and no doubt... the next time you send a special note to that Casting Director, he’ll never forget your name when you send it on good-ole environmental poo poo paper.

If you’re not into ahem, animals, try this earthly pleasure. We’re actually printing our very own, right this second. Seed paper business cards are the newest craze. You give it, they get it and then they plant it. For next geners, business cards translate into smart phones, anyway. So, instead of throwing biz cards away after you punch the deets into your techie device,
ch-ch-ch-chia the card in a pot and it will grow flowers. We’re not kidding. It comes in all shapes and sizes (well, maybe not in a headspin shape) but you catch our drift.

And if you’re bored with fuzzy glitter pens (you know the ones you waste $10 on at competitions) try a pen made of recycled paper. You can look really smart when you write with one of these; and your stage name can get smacked on the side. Buy a bunch and hand them out as promos, smarty pants.

gendancers, take this promotional hint, celebrate Earth Day 2010 in recyclable style and share this article with your creative friends. After all, gendance IS the original “green” e-magazine published in the dance world, of course we’d have something smart and sassy for your branding on a day like Earth Day. Now, go plant a tree or do a rain dance or something.

*obvi = obviously in text language.
