Meet (and hear) Leon Thomas

On the set of Nickelodeon’s Victorious, his peers call him “undercover funny”. And when you first meet Leon Thomas, he’s a chill guy, but he can certainly crack a few good jokes. (Hello, he was on iCarly!)

Before he made it in la-la land, he began his journey in Times Square where an epiphany moment was ignited. “In my 2nd performance on stage during the Lion King on Broadway, I looked out into the audience and saw a group of kids smiling. It was that defining moment, I knew I was where I was supposed to be at 10 years old; I wanted to make people smile and be a positive role model.”

Pretty wise for a young teen. Now, he’s a GFF with Nickelodeon; which he quotes as being “super-crazy-cool”. Millions of kids watch Nickelodeon everyday and Leon is aligned with the slime, the jokes and trendsetting casts. “Nick’s great. They really take care of their stars and treat them like family.”

Although he ‘stars’ as musical prodigy André, he truly is a musical genius. Leon’s experimented with music since the age of three. He started bangin’ the drums and realized around the age of 10 that he could sing. He was signed to SONY Columbia at the age of 14 and since then, Leon’s been making beautiful music with the record giant.

How can you find him? Well, he loves Twitter; and he’s even created his own idea called smashups on Youtube which are like mashups, but different. (Be sure to click, his voice is angelic.)

Leon’s advice to next geners... There’s so many people out there doing the same thing; everyone wants to be an actor or a singer; you, gendancers... stand out and make sure it’s good.
