We discovered (appropriate, we know) Annika Connor at the Gen Art 15th Anniversary Benefit where her wonderful watercolor works jumped out at us. The subject matter was anything but diluted. Her paintings depict a fascination with beauty and decadence. They also tend to replicate fragments from daydreams portraying a sense of romance. In this case, those dreams were about dancers. Currently an NYC girl, Connor has dipped her brush in London, amongst other international exhibitions. What’s even cooler is that she’s an online instructor for watercolor painting. (Check out Sessions Online School of Design). Why did we find her and bring her to you? This sweet Swedish-American is a young entrepreneur and the President of AI Productions, which serves the artistic community by facilitating the presence of young talented artists. She’s going to throw a huge NYC bash in September. If you wanna be there, email us at trendme@gendance.com for the deets. Until then, enjoy her playful palette of dancers. Why don’t you have her paint you? Couldn’t hurt to ask! Visit her site and tell her gendance sent ya. Moral of the Story: Dancers paint the prettiest pictures.
