This is G.O.D. Saying… Peace Out |

If you haven’t seen the hell-arious musical, Altar Boyz, you need to get your soul to the theatre today. gendance witnessed the award-winning Off-Broadway show and worshiped with Matthew, Mark, Luke, Juan and Abraham. This comedy follows 5 young men who meet during their service as young altar boys and decide after a divine calling to form a religious pop group. They start out local, but venture to NYC to see how many souls they can save. You don’t have to be a holy roller to enjoy tunes like “I Am a Catholic” and “La Vida Eternal”. Audience participation is consistently ignited with a hysterical contraption, the Soul Sensor (from the people at Sony, of course), and the voice of “G.O.D.” is bound to turn anyone into a believer. During “Girl You Make Me Wanna Wait”, one lucky lady gets called up for a sweet serenade, in true boy-band style. You’ll never believe what happens when she almost gets to keep the singer’s towel. With comical Top 40-sounding songs, you’ll be singing praise for days; even the choreography makes you laugh out loud. Altar Boyz brings people of all faiths together through hysterics, so get yourself to New World Stages. You’ll be on your knees thanking us about this mission. If you’re scared of getting caught laughing in church, don’t worry about it during this service; that’s for sure. Moral of the Story: Sinners are so much more fun than saints.
