Many of us are guilt-stricken; spending countless hours reading People contemplating “the secret of the stars”. What do they eat? Who’s their favorite designer? Where do they shop? How do they get those abs? (Ahem, Xtend.) If you wanna know the real reason behind their success, we’ve got it. gendance rubbed elbows with the hottest celebrities at the NY International Latino Film Festival last week. With a microphone and cameraman, we teamed up with R.Evolucion Latina to find the secrets we need as performing artists. From Benjamin Bratt and Armand Assante, Christina Milian to Whoopi Goldberg, we were star struck not only by stunning appearances, but more importantly, the inner radiance of each celeb. The glamorous evenings weren’t about fashion or flashing lights. We (gracefully) stumbled upon the biggest trend that every VIP was flaunting with pride. Are you ready for this gendancers? It doesn’t involve stilettos, wide brimmed hats, or back-bearing gowns; nor is it sunglasses-at-night or a fancy designer name. The trend on the red carpet was… inspiration. That’s right. Pure and simple encouragement. On any red carpet, you’ll hear the words “Over here, over here!” Photographers want that money shot and the media wants perfect answers to their questions. But folks, the solution to success is staring us in the face on every gendance Thursday. Each red carpet response included the phrases: “Keep going.” You hear the same phrases every single week in our magazine and today marks our 40th issue of trend-driven inspiration. Just like the luminaries who light up the big screen, the individuals who publish, and whom are featured in gendance say the same thing: keep going no matter what and never give up on your dreams. You may have more in common with celebrities than you think… and it goes way beyond your jeans and your workout. |
