“Ballerina…you should have seen her…”

The famous lyrics of Elton John ring true with this “tiny dancer”.  Introducing Emily Kadow, who began ballet at the mere age of 7, but was on pointe by age 7 ½. Brilliant!  She dances six days per week with four hours of classes, plus rehearsals, and does all her schoolwork online.  She currently takes class at Ellison Ballet in NYC.  Her dream is to dance at American Ballet Theatre and travel to Europe to dance with the Royal Ballet or Paris Opera. 

Why we love her: This young teen has a sparkling personality AND…she is the ONLY American to medal in the Senior Women's Division at the YAGP NYC 2008 Finals.  When asked about this win, this was her reply:

“The gala at City Center is my favorite part of YAGP, Stars of Today meet the Stars of Tomorrow. All the medalists including International ballet stars perform.  It’s a combination of the best ballet from all over the world.  It was so much fun.”

Never once did she boast about her title!  Emily is a true gendance trend-setter.  Check the Ellison Ballet schedule to see her shine at their next performance.
