How gendance Got Its Groove Back |
||
|
The Groovaloos. They’ve performed on Ellen. ‘Nuff said. And, word on the street is that they’re actually at the SYTYCD taping today. Last Friday night, this crew of fourteen executed one of the best performances we’ve ever attended-and believe us, we’ve been to plenty. If you and your friends need to get your groove back, get to the Union Square Theatre between now and January 3rd. The Groovaloos represent today’s most visible artists in entertainment - from Madonna to Beyonce to the Black Eyed Peas. Founded by Bradley “Shooz” Rapier in 1999, this uber-talented group now stars in their own show, GROOVALOO. Based on their true-life stories, GROOVALOO is a little bit of A Chorus Line sprinkled with some Stomp. You’ll be wowed with 20+ headspins, flips galore and personalities come alive through stories told by the diversity of hip hop. Share their struggles and triumphs, and remember their theme: “Life isn't always choreographed, sometimes you have to freestyle.” gendance says GROOVALOO is: “The precision of their headspins and flips is the next gen combo of tricks and technique.” “A positive, hysterical, non-stop action-packed performance for any dancer, no, any human being.” “We literally fell in love with ALL the characters.” “Next generation street dance at its dance best.” |
