Raise your hands if college is in your future. Raise them if you want to pay thousands of dollars for it. (We didn’t think so.) We’ve got the trend to feed your mind without putting yourself into debt. Listen up. Literally. “Don’t Pay for School” is a new online talk show that premieres Tues, January 19th at 10am EST. It’ll continue to air every Tuesday thereafter at www.divatoolbox.com. From art contests to slogan challenges, teens and families will discover ways to get money for school through interviews, tips and insight hosted by one of our favorite teen pageant owners. Meet Jenny Telwar, CEO of America’s National Teenager Scholarship Organization. She oversees the distribution of $5 million in scholarships every year, and now she’s starting the trend to provide the best possible avenue for students to go to college, all while getting someone else to pay for it. (Woot!) Jenny will make it easy for girls and boys who aren’t involved in pageants to learn how to take advantage of scholarship money. As mother of two, Jenny knows firsthand the cost of private school for her first and sixth graders. She did what any great mom would do: find a solution. “There are so many opportunities people just don’t know about. An educational foundation is crucial, but it comes with a price tag.” Tune in every week and listen to interviews with university advisors and heads of major corporations, like Coca Cola and Best Buy, about the opportunities they provide for students. Bonus: Every show includes 5-10 new college and corporate scholarship opportunities, interview and application tips, internship, grad school and international opportunities. Check out the live chat where listeners can type questions for Jenny to answer during the show. Don’t worry if you miss an episode either because you can download it to your iPod from iTunes anytime. Oh, and when you get a scholarship to Harvard you can thank us later. |
