Get Lucky With gendance This Week!

Sport your green garb and do an Irish jig, but take a moment to see how these artists are living green.  There's definitely a pot of gold at the end of this gendance rainbow.

Kiss Me I'm Green

Marc Levine, Scene  Interactive

What's your St. Patty's day tradition?
Wearing white cowboy boots, a plaid ascot and a green satin kilt.  I see no need to change it.
What makes you green with envy?
Almost nothing.  I love my life.  (Fine-I wish I surfed like Kelly Slater!)
How're you helping performers live green?
I will continue to run the greenest company for dancers and actors to market themselves.  No DVD's, paper, staples, postcards...  The internet has a lot more legs than a DVD or postcard.  There are few times that someone is burning your DVD at the Fox lot to send to NBC in Burbank so they can have a copy.  I know.  I've been there.

Anjuli Bhattacharyya, Movmnt Magazine

Everyone's Irish on St. Patrick's Day. Movmnt is...
releasing a special issue, Artistic Reinvention, focusing on reinventing yourself, recycling, and being green-conscious.
"Kiss me. I'm... "
East Indian, American, Portuguese, German.  It's like kissing the world.
Leprechauns: cute or scary?
Depends if they're on a box of Lucky Charms or in
a horror film.
How’re you living green?
Not having a car.  Recycle, everyone!
How can we do it?
Stop wasting plastic water bottles.  Movmnt is releasing a special water bottle for dancers to take responsibility for the planet.

Nobuya Nagahama, Dancer

Everyone's Irish on St. Patrick's Day.  You are…
Wearing my favorite green glasses.
What're you rockin’ on March 17th?
Green glasses, green hat, and green shirt.
Leprechauns: cute or scary?  Cute.
What makes you green with envy?
People that have natural relaxation powers.

Gina Starbuck, Celebrity Dance Competitions

What's your St. Patty's Day fashion statement?
My closet has tons of green.  I'll have no problem finding something.
"Kiss me. I'm... " Kissable.
Go Green means...
The way to protect our future.
How're you living green?
Driving less. Taking shorter showers. Paying bills online.
How can we all do it?
Turn off lights when you leave the room, car-pool and re-use your water bottles.  Raise your consciousness.

Barry Youngblood, Dancer

"Kiss me. I'm..."  Black and beautiful.
Leprechauns: cute or scary?  Both.
What makes you green with envy?
Parents - I miss both of mine.  Appreciate your parents more!
Go Green means...
Get money.  Be more conservative.
How are you living green?
I unplug everything before I leave the house.

Drew Phillip, Celebrity Dance Competition Director

What's your St. Patty's Day fashion statement?
My favorite green Pumas!
"Kiss me. I'm... "
Tall.  Try to reach.
Leprechauns: cute or scary?
Cute, when they have a pot of gold for me.
What makes you green with envy?
Anyone that has an iPod.  I can't find mine.
How're you living green?
Working for a green company, Celebrity, has taught me how to live a Green Lifestyle.  We recycle, reuse and have cut down on energy.

Cheryl Cutlip, Broadway Underground Producer

What're you rockin' on March 17th?
I always fall for those cute Old Navy t-shirts.
Leprechauns: cute or scary?
Scary. I'm not sure if it's the accent or the silly boots.
What makes you green with envy?
Jared Grimes' feet.
How're you living green?
I hang paper towels on my faucet to dry and re-use them.  My goal is to eliminate the need for them altogether.

Ryan Daniel Beck, Dancer

Everyone's Irish on St. Patrick's Day.  How're you celebrating?
I’m teaching a jig/hip hop fusion class.  Thank you, Michael Flatley.
"Kiss me. I'm..."  Delicious.
What makes you green with envy?
Nothing.  When good things come to people,
I'm happy for them.
Go Green means...
Becoming an obsessive recycling fanatic.
How can dancers live green?
My roommate uses old strips of floss to sew her pointe shoe ribbons.

Kiss us, we're gendance, the first green magazine for this industry, and we found a pot of gold in these responses.

Now, forward this to your friends and pass on
the good word.
