Since that day in August of 2009, we have had tremendous ongoing support and love for the "I'm a Dot" campaign. gendance has even been labeled as their exclusive media outlet for dance. Today, we give rise to the canvas that transforms drawn dots into a memory of our hero.
The Michael Jackson Tribute Portrait needs 1,000,000 fans to complete. They've hit 250,000 so far, from 180 countries. This Tuesday, Entertainment Tonight featured the project and we're hoping that as a result, fans have swarmed to the site to own their dot.
gendancers, put on your white sequins glove and moonwalk your fingers to get your dot at www.michaeljacksontributeportrait.com. 1 dot = 1 fan. This tribute is a thriller. We couldn't think of a better way to publish our annual MJ issue other than highlighting David and Jerry's ongoing efforts for Michael Jackson. Every "dot owner" gets a special number to find their dot location online when the drawing is complete.
Noted celebrities, family and close friends of Michael own dots near his heart. VIP's that have joined the cause include poet Maya Angelou, Smokey Robinson, Adam Lambert, Diana Ross, Larry King and more.
Tomorrow, we mourn, but today... he is our man in the mirror and all that we ask is... Will you be there? Please watch this gendance exclusive video on behalf of the Michael Jackson Tribute Portrait.

When Michael left us, he took a piece of our hearts with him. We wept, we laid flowers, candles were lit across the world and we paid tribute to our king. We remembered that we adored him as a child and fell in love with the man. We shared his joy and his pain. He became our hope, an inspiration to the world. "Fans in the Mirror," by his fans, for his fans is The Official Book of the Michael Jackson Tribute Portrait-featured in the video above. Together we stand as his fans: loyal, loving and committed. Together we stand in front of the mirror. There is no farewell, there is no goodbye. Instead, a flame for change and justice lights up each eye.
